About Me

Photography is more than a quick press of a fingertip. I know this, because you cannot fall deeply in love with something that simple. It is much more complex than that. I know this, because I am that victim that has been swirled into the love affair that is photography. Call it what you like, but I call it my hobby, my growing talent, and my fire-hot obsession that it is. I love this. I love everything about it. 

I have always been fascinated with Photography. When I was little my friends and I would dress in my mom's clothes and set up our own photo shoots. (Heaven forbid those ever go public!) I really began putting my hobby into practice when I had our first baby. As you mothers know, that first child somehow escapes blindness from the constant flashing of the camera. My awesome husband got me Adobe Photoshop CS and I spent my extra time learning how to use it. The following Christmas "Santa" (aka said awesome husband) got me my first DSLR camera. I began doing photos shoots for people and pretty soon it took up enough time to start charging money for my work. I was stuck on what to call it- this little growing business of mine- when I came up with "Miss Marie" while enjoying a hot shower :). Marie is my middle name, and the "miss" part? Well it just sounds good. 

So, here I am, finding myself somewhere beautiful, and really really happy about it.
